30 Dec 2013 Year in Review
As 2013 draws to an end we would like to take a look back at the great year that was and thank our loyal customers and friends for making it happen.
South Florida was fortunate to not have any notable storms this year and Sea Experience and Fort Lauderdale had exceptional weather for scuba diving, snorkeling, boating and beach going.
The Instructor Development Program had Instructor candidates attend from all over the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and even Japan. Sea Experience staff members, Shane Sonnenfeld and Josh Frederick were among those who earned their PADI Instructor certifications this year. After hard work and patience from our Administrator, Jayne Haas, we became “Approved for Veterans Training” and will have our facility code soon. We are looking forward to having Veterans in our scuba diving programs!
Sea Experience received several recognitions and awards in 2013, one being the PADI Recognition of Excellence Award for exceeding our 2013 training goals. Additionally, we were voted the number one dive center in South Florida by our customers through the Local 10 program and received the Certificate of Excellence by Trip Adviser. Thank you again to our customers and friends for making it happen.
We had a busy summer with training. Several groups wanted to learn to dive this year including Camp Live Oak, the YMCA and the Boy Scouts. Our Instructors had a great time and we are already scheduling groups for 2014.
Sea Experience installed an awesome new compressor system this year. We are now banking EAN32 and air and with 20 fill whips we can fill a large number of tanks in a short amount of time. Bill is always proud to show it off, so stop by and check it out.
This year was a busy year for dive shows as well. Sea Experience had a booth at The Blue Wild show in Fort Lauderdale, Beneath the Sea in New Jersey and DEMA in Orlando. We had the pleasure of meeting folks from around the world with a wide range of experience, from those wanting to learn to dive through those wanting to teach others to learn to dive and everything in between.
As we look forward to 2014 the entire Sea Experience family would like to wish everyone a healthy, happy and wet New Year!
