STUDENT HOUSING OPTIONS AT SEA EXPERIENCE
There are a variety of options for student housing available at Sea Experience. From sharing a room (basic crew housing), studios, apartments, all the way up to luxury mansions on the beach. This is a resort environment and you do get what you pay for! We do not recommend any of them over each other as every student’s housing needs are different. For that reason, we have come up with a variety of options to meet everyone’s needs, this information is detailed below.
Please contact them directly as we have no information as to seasonal pricing, availability, and type of housing styles. Please conduct due diligence on your housing choice as you generally get what you pay for. It is important to let them know you will be taking classes at Sea Experience so they can put you in a convenient location to the school.
First let me address the issue of so called “FREE” housing.
Does Sea Experience offer free housing?
No! We have offered free housing in the past. While it sounds likea good idea, the quality of our students at the instructor exam diminished. Upon review and interviews with students, they felt that bunk room style housing was not conducive to knowledge review and lesson preparation. They preferred small group/team sessions as they were not wanting to be distracted in reaching their goal of becoming SCUBA instructors. It was also said it seemed that there were always one or two students who did not take class seriously, therefore lack of sleep, revision and preparations affected everyone. Our goal is to make you successful and offer you the best learning environment possible. Remember free, has some ramifications. You owe it to yourself to stay in the most conducive learning environment for your professional development. Our goal is to help you become one of the finest SCUBA instructors in the world.

Because of the length of stay we have had a lot of success with students booking with Airbnb or VRBO. The ability to book a room, apartment or the whole house offers you a great choice/option to meet your needs. Remember, when searching for properties, make the owner aware of your extended length of stay and ask for a discount. We have had students get as much as 50% off the rental. Bahia Mar Resort (Doubletree Hotel)
Sea Experience is proud to be located at the Bahia Mar Resort, where our boats, classrooms, pool, and dive store are just steps away from your room. Bahia Mar is a Hilton Doubletree Hotel and we have negotiated a student rate and you can enjoy all the amenities the resort offers. Please contact Sea Experience for current seasonal rates.
This facility is dedicated “crew house”. All apartments have “shared” bedrooms and common space. One of the locations have a pool you can use for skill practice as well as a several large outside study and socializing areas. This would be one of the most cost-effective ways to stay in our area.
Neptune Group Accommodations
The Neptune Group is an awfully familiar institution here in the Fort Lauderdale area. This area is known as the “yachting capitol of the world”. Neptune is famous for its “basic” crew housing facilities where students stay while going to school and yachties stay during any vessel refit or while waiting for their next adventure. They offer a variety of properties with seasonal rates for long term stays. This has been popular with our students because of the low-cost, no-frills options. They offer everything from shared bedroom to private 4-bedroom houses, and everything in between. When you call, they will get to know your needs and budget, then try to match you accordingly.
